Larter and CheckUP: a new partnership for health

12 March 2019

We are very excited to announce that Larter has been partially acquired by CheckUP Australia, a well-established non-profit Australian organisation whose purpose is to create healthier communities and reduce health inequities.  The current business of CheckUP is to work in partnership with others to help coordinate healthcare delivery in Queensland, using quality data to understand and respond to community need.  It also brings stakeholders together to share ideas about how to improve service delivery in workshops and conferences.

CheckUP Chair Colin Duff and Larter’s Managing Director Peter Larter sign the new partnership.

The acquisition brings together two highly compatible, values-driven organisations who share a longstanding commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of Australian communities.  Both organisations have an established track record in program design and implementation and education; and an in-depth understanding of health reform and its impact on the health system and on people.

Peter Larter will continue in his role as the Managing Director of Larter, working alongside a highly skilled team of staff and subcontractors to help clients build a stronger primary health system with a particular focus on both Victoria and Queensland.

“I’ve known the CEO of CheckUP, Ann Maree Liddy, for 18 years and have always admired the work of her team and Board” said Peter.  “I believe that joining with CheckUP will enhance our collective knowledge and expertise, and extend both the range of services we can offer our current clients as well as our geographic footprint”.

The Board of Larter will now comprise Peter Larter, Ann Maree Liddy, and Colin Duff the Chair of CheckUP.

On a day-to-day basis, both organisations will continue to operate relatively independently and our valued clients will not notice any difference.  It’s business as usual – only  now we will both be able to draw upon our collective resources and capabilities!

Thank you!

We would like to thank all of our clients for your continued support and business, and look forward to continuing to work with you to deliver better primary health care for your communities.
