Arcare engaged Larter to undertake an exploration of the resident experience and a staff survey for our 30 residential aged care facilities.
In close partnership with our Strategy and Innovation executive, Larter delivered a large amount of high-impact work in a short period of time. A framework for benchmarking provided a baseline and mapped out strategic pathways in key result areas while providing an invaluable evidence base for our values and innovations strategy.
We found Larter’s consultant worked with expertise, sensitivity and agility and could work just as well with CEO & Executive team as with residents and their families in often stressful circumstances.

Even as I have been a GP for many years and feel confident in having a good understanding of the MBS complexities, I still learned from your workshop. Particularly some of the evidence behind the introduction of MBS items for care planning, the grey areas and the hot off the press changes to aftercare rules & telehealth were helpful.
The Larter team did an extremely efficient and effective job of pulling together our bid for a Government tender in the Disability Sector in 2017. Their knowledge and ability to assimilate information quickly and produce a polished product was fabulous. We would highly recommend Larter and look forward to working with them again.

As a busy general practice, it is hard to keep on top of the government's changes and initiatives. We knew when we saw the PHN's grant that we could use it to make a real difference for our patients and our practice. Larter helped us every step of the way - from helping us work out what the PHN wanted, think through and articulate our ideas for the grant, the data and evidence we needed to meet the criteria. Throughout the process, Larter were very professional, efficient and helpful. I would highly recommend Larter to any general practice requiring assistance.
I can only recommend the Larter team for their knowledge of our sector and their expertise around the complex funding models and policies that impact on our services.

They were quick, consultative, knowledgeable and delivered results to my Board that appreciated the policy and funding environment that we work within.

We approached Larter because they are renowned for providing high quality and expert services in the health sector. Larter provided us with an evaluation for the Australian National Preventive Health Agency funded project - Whenever You’re Likely to Drink (WYLD). WYLD included many partners, including Local Government and Victoria Police.
These partners participated in the evaluation and were impressed by the highly professional Larter team. The evaluation methodology was rigorous, and resulted in a thorough and professional report that reflected the achievements and learnings of WYLD.
The Larter team was friendly and prompt in all interactions. We would recommend Larter.

Over the past couple of years I have attended several Larter presentations, and have been impressed by the extensive range of subjects and the presenters knowledge.
There have been opportunities for all practice staff (clinical, administration & management) to attend relevant and informative workshop sessions. The presenters have always encouraged attendees to participate & comment, allowing for the diversity of practice settings.
I would highly recommend Larter when seeking education and training for the health sector.
"This was one of the most outstanding presentations I have been to on CDM management using the Medicare Benefits Schedule. The way in which the information was organised was logical, VERY relevant to my practice, and easy to understand. The delivery and manner made asking questions and interacting a joy, and I would happily come to another of these presentations. We've already instituted changes in the way we do our CDM at our practice."
In late 2012, FPV employed Peter Larter of Larter Consulting to evaluate our MBS trial. We found Peter to be a passionate and reliable consultant with a very good understanding of how to plan and implement a program evaluation.
The evaluation report was clear and fair, and its findings will be used to improve the delivery of MBS-funded sexual and reproductive health services.
I would have no hesitation to recommend Peter for health-related program evaluations.
North Yarra Community Health engaged Larter in 2010-11 to assist us with the development of a business plan for a medically focused social enterprise.
Peter provided analysis of local need and demographics, the framework for the budget (including detailed information about projected Medicare income) and reviewed the components of the plan which related to the General Practice industry.
Peter has been generous with his time, has great content knowledge, and is highly skilled in this area work. He is a clear communicator and has provided us with high quality, information in a timely manner. His input has been invaluable to the success of this project.
Peter Larter ran workshops over the three divisions of our PCIP consortium focusing on general practice and allied health working together within MBS criteria for chronic disease management.
The workshops were a great success and highly evaluated by the participants: GPs, PNs, and PMs, public and private allied health clinicians, admin staff and intake workers.
Peter has acted as both presenter and discussion facilitator and he is happy to change his presentation to suit the audience make up and format of each workshop. He has a great knowledge of the MBS and the workings of general practice, public and private allied health and can relate equally to all audience members.
