We engaged Larter on behalf of the Macedon Ranges Suicide Prevention Trial site to develop a volunteer community support model for mental health and suicide prevention in the Macedon Ranges.
Project timelines were tight with some ambitious deliverables. Larter successfully secured an impressive depth of engagement from those that live with suicide ideation or mental health issues, and had numerous conversations with local partners to understand how the model could operate locally.
As a result, the model and business case developed is supported by local services and resonates with the local community.
Larter brings diverse skills and a high level of professionalism to their work. We look forward to collaborating with them again.
Gippsland Primary Health Network has approached Larter on many occasions to deliver education events for general practices. Wendy O’Meara has presented at our Practice Manager and Practice Nurse Network meetings. We provide her with a brief outline of our requirements and she is able to develop education that meets all learning objectives. Her extensive experience and understanding of general practice, and ability to relate empathetically to the audience and answer questions on the spot makes her a popular presenter and has led to increases in participant numbers. It is a delight to work with Wendy and the Larter team and I have no hesitation recommending them for education and training in health.

Peter Larter led the writing of a business case to establish disability accommodation in Longreach. This included consulting with the local LACs (local area coordinators). The business case is comprehensive and shows he has a good understanding of how the NDIS works, and how to consult widely to get the information that he needs. I would not hesitate to recommend him for any NDIS project work.

We recommend them unreservedly to other primary care organisations and look forward to an ongoing supportive relationship.
Even as I have been a GP for many years and feel confident in having a good understanding of the MBS complexities, I still learned from your workshop. Particularly some of the evidence behind the introduction of MBS items for care planning, the grey areas and the hot off the press changes to aftercare rules & telehealth were helpful.
Arcare engaged Larter to undertake an exploration of the resident experience and a staff survey for our 30 residential aged care facilities.

We found Larter’s consultant worked with expertise, sensitivity and agility and could work just as well with CEO & Executive team as with residents and their families in often stressful circumstances.

As a busy general practice, it is hard to keep on top of the government's changes and initiatives. We knew when we saw the PHN's grant that we could use it to make a real difference for our patients and our practice. Larter helped us every step of the way - from helping us work out what the PHN wanted, think through and articulate our ideas for the grant, the data and evidence we needed to meet the criteria. Throughout the process, Larter were very professional, efficient and helpful. I would highly recommend Larter to any general practice requiring assistance.

I would highly recommend Larter when seeking education and training for the health sector.
"This was one of the most outstanding presentations I have been to on CDM management using the Medicare Benefits Schedule. The way in which the information was organised was logical, VERY relevant to my practice, and easy to understand. The delivery and manner made asking questions and interacting a joy, and I would happily come to another of these presentations. We've already instituted changes in the way we do our CDM at our practice."
In late 2012, FPV employed Peter Larter of Larter Consulting to evaluate our MBS trial. We found Peter to be a passionate and reliable consultant with a very good understanding of how to plan and implement a program evaluation.
The evaluation report was clear and fair, and its findings will be used to improve the delivery of MBS-funded sexual and reproductive health services.
I would have no hesitation to recommend Peter for health-related program evaluations.
